I designed the “Susan’s Song” necklace, earring and bracelet set to celebrate the cure of my Sister-In-Law’s liver cancer.
We thought she had beaten breast cancer but it was discovered
that the cancer had metastasized in her liver.
The prognosis was grim, but with the Prayers of many, the treatments she received at Duke University Hospital, her perseverance and my brother’s love and support she beat the liver cancer too!
Young Women and Breast Cancer
Young women CAN and DO get breast cancer. While breast cancer in young women accounts for a small percentage of all breast cancer cases, the impact of this disease is widespread: There are more than 250,000 women 40 and under in the U.S. living with breast cancer, and over 11,100 young women will be diagnosed in the next year.
